I want to help athletes like myself who want to improve their overall health and event performance by optimizing the way ‘we’ train.
I heard about a charity endurance program and joined. I swear it felt like love at first sight when I completed my first training run. I quickly hired a coach who happened to be training for endurance events and talking about it non-stop. Naturally, I became infatuated with my own fitness training and wanted more, so I started scheduling time for swimming, biking and running…I was determined to doing whatever I needed to become faster and leaner.
Of course, I felt like I knew what I was doing being a certified personal trainer. I began my training with a coach, ate a high carbohydrate, low fat diet that is typical for endurance athletes, with a few intermittent times of being a vegetarian.
Unfortunately, that program didn't work for me.In fact, it seemed to do just the opposite for me. Instead of getting faster, I became slower, fatter and injured. A friend referred me to a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) to run a full hormone panel and saliva test. Apparently, I was suffering from full adrenal fatigue. Even though I had years of endurance experience under my belt, I found out that my stressful job combined with the prior years of improper nutrition and training had taken a toll on my body. All I can say is that adrenal fatigue is something you never want to experience. I took the advice of my ND and retired my running shoes...and yes, I began searching for the answers that would work for everybody like me, for the people who are doing “all the right things” and not seeing the results they want.
I was determined to find a way that to heal my body. I listened to podcasts, like Ben Greenfield's podcast, “the Paleo Solution” with Robb Wolf and Chris Kresser. Then I realized that almost everything I have learned or been told about nutrition and training was completely wrong. Of course, I was compelled to learn more…so, I joined Ben Greenfield’s Superhuman Coaching Program and became a CHEK Exercise Coach and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach. I learned to focus on sleep, stress management, digestion, and including the quality of what I was eating and type exercise combined with proper rest and recovery. After implementing what I learned, I felt like a Phoenix rising from the ashes and have made a full recovery.
I have taken what I have learned from my personal experiences as well as my education to make the KetoEndurance FAT BURNING Machine program. Join me to train Faster, Stronger and Smarter!
